THE GUARDIANS OF MOLLY

CHARACTERS

HUMANS (MOSTLY - SOME PROSTHESIS & CG)

MOLLY - A rambunctious 9 year old who is terrified, but delighted to find out her stuffed animals come to life at night to defend her from the monsters in her closet.

PAUL - Molly's Dad.  Four years after his wife (Molly's mother) has died, he's moving on and remarrying.  He's concerned about Molly and letting go of the past, but has to move forward.

MEI - Molly's new stepmother.  A somewhat aloof, yet very caring woman who has no idea how to be a stepmother, and is trying her best to fit into Paul and Molly's world.

QUEEN PREVIMA - The main villain, controlling all of the monsters in Nightmareland.  She feeds on the fear of children and wants to keep Molly in her dark castle, forever.  (Will be played by the same actress as MEI).

WIZACORN - A cross between a praying mantis and a lizard.  Wizacorn is Queen Previma's terrifying henchman.  (Human with prosthetic makeup and CG)

STUFFED ANIMALS (PUPPETS & CG)

KITTY – A no-eared cat doll, wearing a red gingham dress.  She’s the oldest, hence the less clever name.  She lost her ears (they were attached to her hat, which Molly lost).  Sometimes she doesn’t hear everything well, but she’s the fiercest leader. 

SHERLOCK – a small, wiry squirrel doll, who is able to sneak into little places.  He’s a beanbag, so he flops around a lot.

SNOWBALL & HONEYBUN – teddy bear dolls whose tails rattle.  They can try to help, but are actually timid.  The rattling tails can be a challenge as they rattle when they get excited or scared.

TRAGIO – a huge St. Bernard doll with big, sad eyes.  He can’t move quickly, but can be the muscle when needed.

CREATURES (PUPPETS & CG)

COIL -  an evil jack-in-the-box which walks on springs and uses them to hold down Molly by wrapping around her arms & legs like a slinky.

MUFFINDUMPLING -  a shape-shifter - extremely cuddly and cute...on the surface.  Actually a dangerous creature.
